This Privacy Policy explains how Fixon Pty Ltd trading as Student Car Loan (ABN 41 647 560 147, Australian Credit Licence #547719, Credit Representative Number 551588) ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, holds and discloses your personal information. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What we collect

• Identity details — your name, date of birth, residential address, driver licence, passport and visa documents.
• Contact details — email address and mobile number (including verification via one-time code).
• Visa and study details — visa subclass, visa expiry, and optionally your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE).
• Financial and business details — the vehicle and purchase you're seeking finance for, your deposit, ABN, business plan, how the vehicle will generate income, and bank statement data you authorise us to access.
• Technical data — device, browser and usage information collected via cookies and analytics tools (Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics).

2. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you use our repayment calculator, submit an application, upload documents, contact us, or browse our website. With your consent, we also collect information from third parties — for example, bank statement data through illion BankStatements (a secure, read-only service; we never see your banking login), and identity or visa verification services.

3. Why we collect it

• To assess your application for business-purpose vehicle finance and verify your identity, visa status and eligibility.
• To verify your deposit and assess your income and banking conduct.
• To communicate with you about your application, settlement and loan account.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as an Australian Credit Licence holder, including anti-money-laundering (AML/CTF) obligations.
• To improve our website and services, and (with consent where required) for marketing.

4. Who we disclose it to

• Service providers who help us operate — identity/visa verification providers, illion BankStatements, IT hosting and email providers.
• Credit providers, funders or assignees connected with your loan.
• Credit reporting bodies — only with your consent. Getting a quote or submitting an application does not involve a credit check and won't affect your credit score.
• Regulators, law enforcement or dispute resolution bodies (including AFCA) where required or authorised by law.

Some providers may store data on servers located overseas. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

5. Storage and security

Documents and application data are stored on secured servers in encrypted form with access restricted to authorised staff. We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then securely destroy or de-identify it.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site and to measure advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. IP-based data is used in aggregate and not to personally identify you.

7. Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us (details below). We will respond within a reasonable period and will not charge for making a request.
